The Western Springs Historical Society
Volunteering
The Western Springs Historical Society seeks volunteers to enhance our organization in several different ways. Volunteers are needed to work in the archives from 9am to 12 noon, Tuesdays, at Grand Avenue Community Center. Volunteers are trained to clip newspaper articles, input data on the computer and help residents research their homes. Please download our volunteer information here.
Other opportunities include becoming a docent in the Tower Museum of the Children's Museum. Spend a few hours on a Saturday morning greeting visitors, share historical village information and answer questions. Docents are asked to serve approximately once every 2 - 3 months and the schedule is very flexible. Please contact the society via email or call 708-246-9230.
