Measure Your Treasure
In September of 2007, the Western Springs Historical Society sponsored Measure Your Treasure, and Antique Roadshow type event. Held at the Theater of Western Springs, guests were treated to an evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and appraisals. MIR Appraisers treated each guest to an individual appraisal of an item of their choice. Tips on antique preservation were also given. Monies raised have been used to begin a full makeover of the Grand Avenue Archives, in order to make them more accessible and user friendly for the community. The Society would like to recognize the events' major sponsors, as well as thank our many donors who contributed items for the silent auction as well as cash donations.
